Is it really that hard?

I’m reading Jim Goll’s book ‘Deliverance from Darkness’ at present. It’s good reading with lot’s of helpful points in it.
Allow me to quote from it something I read tonight. The section is headed ‘The walled city principle’.

“You see you are not supposed to be a victim of your circumstances. Once you invite the Holy Spirit to live inside you, you have the authority to tackle whatever comes against you.”
I’ve mentioned before about the real simplicity of revelation. Sometimes we overly complicate things and at times in the past I’m reading a book or thinking on a particular doctrine and I find myself thinking, “it’s too complex”, or, “It’s too hard”. It seems to me that I’m failing, (it really seems that way at the time), the Christian life here is just too hard.
Of course the answer is there in scripture (though the enemy wants to blind you to it as they are quite keen on you stoically trying to live the life, all by yourself), with Jesus saying (John 15:5) “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing”, and, (Mark 9:23) Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
So, we live in concert with Holy Spirit and all things are possible - you have the authority to tackle whatever comes against you
